Hello, and welcome. We are family-scl.com, and we make furniture for the smallest people in your home — step stools, learning towers, climbing triangles, tables, chairs and beds that help children reach a little higher, play a little braver, and feel a little more at home in a world built for grown-ups.
It started the way most good things do: with a real need. A child who wanted to help at the kitchen counter. A parent looking for something safe, sturdy and beautiful enough to leave out in the living room. Nothing on the market felt quite right, so we made it ourselves — and then friends asked for one, and then their friends did too.
What we care about
Every piece we make is designed to be touched, climbed, leaned on and loved for years. We work with Baltic birch plywood, sand every edge smooth by hand, and finish each item with child-safe materials, because the furniture in a child’s room should be the last thing a parent has to worry about.
We add colour on purpose. A playroom should feel joyful, and a step stool should look like it belongs in your home rather than hiding in a cupboard. Our learning towers carry our four words — Family, Support, Care, and Love — because they are not a slogan for us, they are the checklist we hold every product against.
Made to grow up with your child
Children change fast. Furniture shouldn’t have to be replaced every time they do. That is why so much of what we make is adjustable, convertible or simply built strong enough to be handed down — from an older sibling to a younger one, from one family to the next. We would much rather sell you one thing that lasts ten years than ten things that last one.
Beyond our own shop
Today we are more than a workshop. We also supply retailers, distributors and online stores across Europe and worldwide from our own warehouse, with our own dropship system that connects a partner’s store directly to our stock and fulfils their orders automatically. If you have ever bought one of our pieces from another shop, it very likely left our warehouse and travelled straight to your door.
